Broadband service

OneFiber supports up to 10Gbps symmetrical. OneFiber connects and maintains the internet connectivity on the network. The network is run as an open access network which means that the actual ISP services are provided by third parties. Customers typically can choose between 3 - 5 providers.

Financing

The network is financed through municipality bonds and paid for by its subscribers. It is a budget neutral exercise for the town.

The financing costs between closing of the bond and completion of the network are covered by OneFiber. In return, we ask for a small ownership stake in your network equal to the bridge funding provided.

Cost model

We charge a connection fee per subscriber. This connection fee covers the municipal bond and network maintenance.

The connection fee is collected by the ISPs with whom the residents take their service. It is charged as part of the subscription fee of the total service.

OneFiber receives the maintenance part of the connection fee to provide the required maintenance.
